Mandi Benjamin

Director of Planning

I’m so excited to share more about who I am and the amazing things we are doing at The Journey! My name is Mandi and I am the Director of Wedding Planning. Prior to The Journey, I’ve had the honor of being trusted by hundreds of wonderful couples in our Two Birds event spaces, and so look forward to meeting new couples along the way.  

Throughout my time of running events and weddings, I continued to find myself feeling most fulfilled when building strong relationships, exercising my passion for the details, and making sure our couples are truly able to feel like guests at their own weddings. Whether it’s partial or full planning that you’re looking for, I can’t wait to be able to bring that personalized experience to you. I immediately fell in love with the name The Journey because it reminds us that while the destination is important, it’s also about enjoying the path that gets us there.

Mallory Asplund

Lead Planner

We don't just say it's all about the journey, we live it as well. My name is Mallory and am thrilled to be part of your planning process as we get you to your big day. I'm an adventurer at heart and have a passion for connecting with others wherever I am. Whether it's working onboard a cruise ship or teaching dance, I've found my passion in building relationships, expecting the unexpected and having a good time doing it.  

Being part of your Journey encompasses so many elements that I love. From shopping for a venue to walking down the aisle, I look forward to being by your side, taking care of your questions and bringing your vision to life. Working events both large and small over the years, I've found that attention to detail and ensuring a good time is had by all are the hallmark of a great event. I've also been on the other side of the curtain and have been honored to stand up in countless weddings. I always find myself eager to help make meaningful touches that create such an unforgettable impact for couples.

Hi there! I’m Bella, a lead wedding planner, and I am so thrilled to be a part of The Journey team. I couldn’t be more excited to share my passion for all things weddings.  Being in the wedding industry for 4+ years, I have found so much joy in my time working with couples. From first consultation, to final dance, I truly love every detail along the way. 

Throughout my experience, I loved building close relationships with all my couples and becoming a part of their journey.  I am most passionate about those little details that give the day that special magic touch. I cannot wait to join you on this adventure as we navigate the ins and outs of your dreams and turn them into a reality.

Tyler Curran

To say weddings are woven into the fabric of my life would be an understatement. For over 20 years I have been working in the wedding industry and held many different roles. The core of all of those roles boils down to two elements; passion and experience. My personal passion for every individual couple and the desire to help them achieve their most perfect day has only grown with time. I get to experience so much excitement, joy and of course love from all my couples and their guests. Their passion fuels mine. 

Experience is similar as it also goes both ways. My lifetime of seeing weddings through almost every lens, has given me the tools needed to help couples achieve their goals. This allows my couples to have the most incredible experiences on one of the most important days of their lives. I am grateful that I have been a part of so many amazing couples journeys and beyond excited for the next chapter of this story.

Ramsey Renno & Tyler Curran

Owners of Two Birds Event Group

In 2010 Milwaukee Airwaves, was founded by Ramsey Renno and Tyler Curran with a passion for music and entertaining. As Airwaves grew, they knew they wanted to provide more for Milwaukee couples, thus Two Birds Event Group was born in 2016. Since then, Two Birds has added Ivy House, Filament, The Starling, The Society and now, The Journey - Event Planning.

All together, Two Birds Event Group hosts over 500 events a year.
